Bake Cheese Tart - Fresh Molten Cheese

Lately, there has been a constantly emerging popularity on fresh baked cheese tart. It is sometimes referred as half-baked because of the cheesy molten center. While there are a lot of competitors joining the game, replicating and adapting similar recipes, the newest branch of its origin hasn't been beaten down at all.
Opened in the basement of Sogo Deparment Store, Bake Cheese Tart has brought the best cheese tart from Hokkaido. Made specifically with three kinds of cheese, namely two Hokkaido cheeses and one French cheese, the cheese mousse is so ridiculously rich and creamy, a little salty and melt like a serious molten lava. The double baking process of the crust has also produced the real crispy texture that tastes like egg cookie.
With three instructions given to enjoy these cheese tarts, chill like cheesecake, freeze like ice cream, favourite would be freshly eaten or reheat it in an oven for the perfect molten texture.
This cheesy goodness surely worths being the talk of the town!

Jamie's Italian Hong Kong - The Italian Plank

Proudly presented by the famous British chef, Jamie Oliver, his Hong Kong Italian restaurant is now serving an express lunch set during the weekdays. The set lunch includes one of the two appetizers, your choice of entrees, a complimentary cup of iced lemon tea in addition to optional dessert that only costs a few extra dollars.
Furnished with colourful decorations, an Italian open kitchen and a hip cocktail bar, the restaurant provides friendly services and comforting ambience to savor some of the best Jamie's Italian dishes.
Starting off with a heart-warming bowl of mushroom soup, the creaminess is ideally complimented with real mushroom bites and aroma. The bruschetta stays surprisingly crunchy with toasted crust and serve atop appetizing salsa, a combination of roasted aubergine, ricotta and capers.
While the prime beef steaks and prosciutto-wrapped halibut are both served along the wooden board, they come with skinny fries and house-made polenta chips respectively.
The trimmed beef steaks are cooked perfectly to medium rare, very succulent and paired excellently with favourite chimichurri sauce.
The baked halibut also retains great moisture, wrapped with crispy prosciutto ham, not to mention a bed of scrumptious roasted pepper and sweet onion slices.
Provided that Jamie's epic brownie is one of the best in town; very dense, texture of cakery chocolate brownie that is topped with smooth homemade caramel gelato and popcorns; we went for the signature tiramisu and almond frangipane tart.
The warm tart is impressively presented with two scoops of light-whipped mascarpone cream and honey combs, made with seasonal fruits that happens to be sliced apples.
Jamie's version of tiramisu is basically a resemblance of traditional English trifle, flavored with coffee, orange mascarpone and finally chocolate ganache.
Both are unbelievably delectable but I would favor more on that irresistible piece of coffee trifle!
Trust me, it's time to get express with Jamie and you'd not want to miss any of his desserts!

Mint by Plate Culture - Home Private Dining

Mint is a little escape from the big city. Hosted by a home chef and his wife, MrT & MissE, they aim to bring locals a surprising evening in an outdoor terrace with their most amazing home-cook food. They don't have a fix menu, as it will be changed regularly based on seasonal and fresh ingredients sourced from local markets. Check the Plate Culture website or follow them on Instagram for new menu.
The menu is mostly European inspired, and can sometimes be adjusted upon special request such as gluten free, nut free or dairy free.
Our dinner starts with 4 neatly plated conchiglies, which are unfortunately not pictured. Stuffed with sweet roasted pumpkin and ricotta filling, served atop few chopped walnuts, olive caviar and thin layers of melted parmesan. Although the pasta shell is slightly hardened, the parsley puree that served along the side impresses very much with its wonderful complexity.
Followed by a seafood entree, we have skinless pan seared salmon with a tower of refreshing salsa. The salsa has won most of our hearts, composed of diced beetroot, tomatoes, creamy avocado and mango.
The delicious creamy sauce made with coconut, curry and mango is also very loved, not to mention the duck fat fries that come along.
The meal is ended with delectable treats of chocolate caramel tart, South African milk pie and a scoop of toasted almond ice cream.
The scrumptious milk pie is the best out of all, which is basically a combination of digestive biscuit crust, creamy custard-like filling and sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
While Warwick and Tans are both so friendly and accommodating, they show true passion in their food, the plating, as well as the set up around the table. It is a nice spot to chill, to relax and meet new friends.

Issaya Siamese Club - A World Thai Classic

Issaya is an old Thai lexicon for rainy season. It is also a name of an Asian's Top 50 best restaurants that has recently come to join the Hong Kong culinary city. Sister to their branch in Bangkok, where is described with tropical gardens and dynamic restaurant, Issaya Hong Kong features a similar interior design of heritage paint and antique wallpapers, open kitchen and bar, spacious dining room and a lush outdoor terrace.
Offering two tasting menus, a list of a la cartes, cocktails and selection of desserts, Chef Kittichai has transported all his original Thai flavors with fresh ingredient sourced from Thailand, Australia and New Zealand, including aromatic herbs and organic fruits.
The first dish is showcased on a rectangular barbecue box wrapped with banana leaf. The baby back ribs are wonderfully spiced with homemade hot sauce, with a slightly sweet note and meat falling off the bones.
The tuna tartare is another beautiful dish that comes in four servings. Designed with crispy mini wonton cup filled with chopped fresh tuna, it is dressed with a delightful sweet palm sugar-fish sauce, complemented with some crunchy peanuts and spicy chili from head to toe.
After some contemporary twists, the Chef continues to surprise us with three large scallops served with lime-vinegar sauce, deep fried fish skin and pork belly relish. The scallop is undoubtedly fresh and plump, which is a true excellence.
Our meal is marked with a star of the show - Issaya's banana eclair. This choux pastry varys the modern twist of an old-school street food, filled with scrumptious grilled banana custard, sesame toppings and along with refreshing coconut ice cream. The plating is so elegant that has instantly got my eyes on.
Surely this world-renowned classic is a worth-visiting place in Hong Kong.
