Tsui Hang Village 翠享村 - Piggy Bun

There's always a Sunday to spend with the family for some supreme dim sum. Here I am talking about local cooking, fresh quality, classic presentation and enjoyable environment; surely Tsui Hang Village has it all. Aside from their main branch presented by the Mira Group at Tsim Sha Tsui, Tsui Hang Village can also be found at Lee Gardens. Early morning, this restaurant is not so crowded with countable seats available. We are settled around a pleasant area with relaxing and silence atmosphere, though is having less attentive services.
Started from a house specialty, the duo barbecued porks. I personally favor the Japanese version over the traditional char siu, given both are equally charcoal grilled and sweetened with honey glaze.
The deep fried toast with milk custard is impressively made to golden brown and well executed to perfect silkiness. The sauteed turnip cakes are also enjoyable with its spicy XO sauce.
Moving on to dim sum, instead being traditionally steamed, the minced beef balls are cooked in supreme broth with a few shredded radishes.
While the beef and egg fried rice doesn't worth much a note, the gigantic steamed bun is indeed a wow-factor. It is stuffed with a generous serving of minced chicken, pork belly, a whole head of shiitake mushroom and hard boiled egg, which is by far the biggest bun I have ever seen!
A feast of the meal is the two seductive piggy buns. Although it is less fluffy when compared to the chicken bao, the sweet purple potato filling has an unbeatable natural sweet note. The black sesame rolls are also a definite all time favorite!
