Arome vs Maria - The Egg Tart Battle!

The egg tart battle is here! Who makes the best egg tart? I personally favor short crust more than puff pastry crust. And the criteria for a good egg tart should have a thick and rich custard, a yellow eggy interior with hint of sweetness. A favourite of mine would be from Maria's Bakery. The silky and sweet egg custard is not overwhelmed by the slightly salty short crust pastry. Another new favorite is the Hokkaido milk egg white tart from Arome Bakery. The egg white tart has been reheated in the oven for 10 minutes, resembling a sloppy milk pudding inside a buttery cookie crust. Hmm!!
