Youka 八日日本料理 - The 1st Anniversary Menu

Previously, I was so lucky to win a 1st Anniversary dinner for two at Youka in the giveaway event held by Dining City HK. The menu includes several signature dishes from this Japanese restaurant, where is a place that has been elegantly and neatly designed.
The crab meat with yam salad is creatively combined with ponzu jelly; it is also refreshing to have some seasonal fresh sashimi prepared from the Chef, especially the fatty toro; whereas the Japanese egg custard is silky and topped with cod roe and caviar, hiding a soft pig brain underneath. I personally like the teriyaki-like grilled mackerel fish which has a toasted woody fragrance and as well succulent. The two styled tempura fried oysters are not oily at all, flavorfully wrapped with nori, a kind of leaf and served with a delicious miso paste.
The Don (Japanese rice bowl) is made with my absolute favourite combination of uni and salmon roe, a piping hot miso soup is also served alongside for warming our stomach.
At the end of the meal, we are pleased to have a strawberry & Azuki green tea ice cream parfait to round up this authentic Japanese dinner.
