Le Gouter Bernardaud LGB - Sunday Brunch

As the pioneer in bringing the artistic French pastry Macarons to Hong Kong, LGB does not only present us some amazing freshly brewed coffee and homemade pastries, but also a wonderful classic brunch at the weekend. The egg benedict has cooked to perfection with the soft poached egg exploding its runny yolk, soaking into the lightly toasted English muffin. The egg white omelette is another delightful dish with my favourite gruyere cheese but I wish there are more and meltier.
While the brunch is so amazingly good, the pastries including mille feuille is also wonderfully presented with silky smooth pastry cream that contains generous amount of vanilla pods and tart raspberries, layering between a crispy and caramelized puff pastries; the mount of tiramisu mousse has a strong vanilla taste backgrounded with bruleed pear pieces within the buttery almond crust. Both of them are indeed so delicate and luscious! Lastly, their cup of hot chocolate is made with 70% cocoa which is bitterly dark with a creamy milk foam.
