Cova Ristorante & Caffe - Italian Lunch

It has been a while since I dined in at Cova, where is known for their amazing gelatos and patisseries. They offers 2 course set lunch in the afternoon. Some whole wheat walnut and French bread are distributed to us together with some of their homemade cheese puff pastry sticks and sesame crackers. At first, I struggled whether to get a lobster bisque with additional charge or simply stick to a simple salad, while my mom orders her antipasti buffet, I end up with this creamy burrata sitting on a bed of olive oil dressed arugula. It is refreshing and seasoned with several anchovies.
We are surprised with the size of the scallop that is extremely jumbo to the max. It lies on the garlicky linguini pasta which has been cooked al dente; whilst the baked cod is fleshy, silky and can almost melt in my mouth. The tomato broth is well seasoned too!
The classic puffy napoleon is ornamented with fresh mango and sweet cream, served along with their signature homemade gelato in banana flavor. I would highly recommend trying their gelato but might rather have a tiramisu next time.
