Mango Tree - Lunch

Let's treat this as our first birthday lunch celebration with our beloved mom! Happy Birthday to my life greatest best friend mommy <3 It is undeniable that I have been spoiled to extreme by her :D
Today, we come to this Bangkok-originated Thai restaurant, with a big tree allocated in the middle spot symbolizing its name Mango Tree. The modernly designed environment, together with a mega view of the West Kowloon Harbour, have presented us an authentic Thai cuisine.
Thai Shrimp Toasts. Every shrimp toast is breaded and deep-fried delicately, paired well with the serve-along sweet chilli and cucumber sauce.
Tom Kha Gai. A very coconutty based chicken soup enhanced with lemongrass, cilantro and lime, provides a comforting balance. Both the soft shell crab in green mango salad and the baby pork ribs are succulent, whilst the ribs have been grilled with slightly sweetened barbecue sauce. I am not a fan of green curry but it pairs well with the refreshing mango fried rice. The authentically stir fried Phad Thai are presented delectably, and it is surprising to find such large prawns in it. Lastly, it comes to the slightly minty, chewy, sticky Pandan layer puddings. The order originally includes two pandan flavored and two strawberry flavored puddings, but we ask for two extra pandan in replace of the artificially colored strawberry!
