Hang Heung 恆香老餅家 - Dessert

Wife Cake, aka sweetheart cake, is a traditional Cantonese pastry filled with sweet wintermelon paste. It was usually for wedding occasion but nowadays we can get them all year round. They have been modified since with lots of different fillings such as red bean, green bean, pineapple and coconut. I would recommend you to try freshly baked ones which are still hot/warm and if you bought take-away, they should be reheated in microwave or oven for a few minutes.
My mom loves these Lao Po Bing so much and today we headed to Sogo basement supermarket @ Causeway Bay to get some. We also bought a century egg puff as I was curious to know how it would taste like when it is wrapped in flaky pastry.
