Mano - Brunch

A rainy day, which officially marks the start of Spring season. With such gloomy weather, brunch is something that can lighten me up.
At the L. Place, here is an European restaurant selling freshly crafted food. Today we are overloaded with salmon and eggs.

Auntie Sweet 甜姨姨私房甜品 - Dessert

A delicious ending with mom today at Tin Hau. What a sweet indulge!
Another well spent day with my lovely friend. I ordered a chocolate tofu pudding which was instantly made in seconds.

Brasserie Le Fauchon - Set Lunch

It has been two years since I had lunch here. Check out my 2012 post! They still have amazing french bread basket and the serving style doesn't change at all. A set lunch comes with complementary daily soup and salad, a choice of mains and a daily dessert. For an executive choice, you may have a higher class salad and soup, mains and creme brulee or tiramisu (which I know they will be served in cocktail glass woo~) And in case you want something more Italian, my dad ordered a "choose yourself" pasta. You can choose from the kind of pasta (angel hair/spaghetti/penne/linguini), stuffings (such as mushroom, spinach; smoked salmon, prawns) and finally daily dessert.
This is what I ordered today:

Cream of corn soup and potato & bacon salad

Red snapper with tomato salsa, served over mashed potato, grilled tomato and green beans

Daily dessert:
A cube of chocolate cake with chocolate ganache on top

Greyhound Cafe - Dinner

It was a satisfying Friday night to end my reading week. I urged myself not to go for Italian food again and so I decided to try Greyhound Cafe, a place located at IFC right opposite to Open Kitchen. It is a restaurant mainly serving Thai dishes, with some burgers and italian pasta as well.
Tonight, my mom and I ordered some appetizers, snacks and salad. What impressed me the most was the salmon carpaccio with that pesto-like Thai sauce. I could never stand the chilliness of Thai foods but I have exception for this. Salmon! My all-time favourite <3

King's Dumpling 金牌小龍 - Dinner

I can finally get to try King's Dumpling. This restaurant is firstly opened in The One at Tsim Sha Tsui, and lately they have a new branch in Wanchai. 
I tried some new Taiwan dim sum today, such as eggs with super runny yolks and soy sauce duck tongues. Their King's dumpling (xiao long bao), which is one of their signature dishes, are flavorful and even better than that from Din Tai Fung. A must try indeed!

SML - Dinner

I have always love this restaurant, SML, meaning small, medium and large. They allow you to choose dishes being served in these three portions. Indeed, a very environmental way and we, foodies, can try more food. 
The buffalo cheese &  tomato salad is so fresh; melted cheese on Nachos, gooey, crispy, nothing more to say. The grilled salmon matches well with the mango salsa and finally, it comes to desserts!
The apple crumb is very impressive with chunks of apples in silky vanilla sauce. The creme brulee is full of visible vanilla pods and the caramelized surface is just perfect!
